Artist Statement

After an object has outlived its purpose it is discarded, removed from thought, and left to fade away. Its function is lost but it still exists as form.

Over time this form deteriorates and what was abandoned is not what remains.

The decaying structure lingers edging ever closer to disappearance until suddenly it is stumbled upon and plucked from obscurity.

Recognized for its potential for transformation the object is brought to light where it is reborn, resurrected as a photographic object with its form as its function.
